Big Bear Valley Bald Eagle Cam
Big Bear Valley Bald Eagle Webcam brought to us by Friends of Big Bear Valley
Big Bear Valley, nestled in California’s San Bernardino Mountains, is home to a notable pair of bald eagles, Jackie and Shadow. This duo has garnered widespread attention, particularly through a live-streamed nest camera managed by the Friends of Big Bear Valley.
In early 2025, Jackie laid three eggs: the first on January 22, the second on January 25, and the third on January 28. The eaglets began hatching in early March, with the first emerging on March 3 and the second on March 4. The third chick hatched on March 8, completing the trio.

These hatchings are particularly significant given the challenges Jackie and Shadow faced in previous years, including unsuccessful nesting attempts. The successful arrival of these three chicks has been celebrated by eagle enthusiasts worldwide.
For those interested in observing the eagles and their growing family, the live nest camera offers continuous footage of their daily activities.
Big Bear Valley’s commitment to wildlife conservation is further exemplified by the Big Bear Alpine Zoo, which specializes in the rehabilitation and release of local alpine species. The zoo provides a sanctuary for animals that cannot be released back into the wild, offering educational opportunities for visitors to learn about native wildlife.
The successful hatching of Jackie and Shadow’s eaglets underscores the importance of conservation efforts in Big Bear Valley, reflecting broader initiatives to protect and preserve bald eagle populations across the United States.
